After 5 years of work, work and more work, I now plan to go back to school. However the course I plan to enrol in is not in the similar industry I'm currently in.

All these thoughts of me going back to school is exciting. Hell yea I love learning something new everyday.

Whoa, it has been ages since I last blog about anything!

Well, just a brief summary of somesort. I'm still working at the same place. I'm still living at the same place as before. And I still drive to work.

The only difference is that I have a cat now!!! Haha. That kitty has been nothing but joy to me. Hehe.

I love Poppy. He's such a fun and loving cat. Although at times he goes crazy, I still forgive him. Whenever he's nuts, he'll run around my flat. Zooming in and out of rooms. Hehe. Besides his runs, he's such a darling. The way he looks lovingly into your eyes, can melt anyone's heart. Aaaaahhh..

It has been eons long since I last posted anything here. Can I give the excuse of work overload again? *Snickers*

Well, lately I've been experiencing first hand exceptionally horrendous and impatient drivers. Speed limit shows 80 km/h. However, these drivers will drive by as if they own the road. Now if this road happens to be Jalan so and so, then so be it. It's your road and your rules. But people, this is a road where there are sign limits up on corners reminding and cautioning about the speed limit.

Besides that, I hate it when people tail-gate me. It has happen to me on countless occasions where I'll be keeping to the speed limit and there will be this driver at the back of my car, tailgating me. What the hell is wrong with those people. After tail-gating me for a while, the driver will then zoom off to his destination.

Haha, when you thought this post is going to end here, wait till you hear about this. Some Kelisa drivers in particular. Woohoo, I've seen them zoom passed me like there's no tomorrow. Kelisa cars can go quite fast I tell ya. These drivers whom I've seen, ignore road safety rules completely.

That's why I keep to the middle lane most of the time.

It saddens me day after day as I flip through the papers. Global warming, environment awareness, recycling, etc is being bombarded EVERYDAY.

How do we respond to such news? Are we doing enough to save mother nature? Is our government doing something about it? How are we to save mother nature?

In a matter of years, earth's temperature will rise and this will cause havoc.

Are we all going to die under extereme conditions?

There are so many good recipes out there by Jamie Oliver, Eric Gower, Rachael Ray, etc.

How on earth can Jamie Oliver whip up a meal in such a short period of time? The Breakaway Chef's flavoured salts/finishing salts is definately something new to me. And what about Rachael Ray's Vegetarian Chickpea Burgers. Never in a million years would it have crossed my mind of mixing green tea or lavender or tangerine to salt. What about chickpeas? I love 'em. I would have never thought of making them into burgers. That's a recipe I've got to try.

Now what will you get if you combined Jamie Oliver, Eric Gower, Rachel Ray, Nigella Lawson and all the cooks in the world? Of course you wouldn't spoil the broth! Instead you get a walking dictionary of recipes!!! Now that's what I need.

We love eating. But how do we know what we're eating is healthy or whether the exercise we do is enough? We hear the same excuses all the time : "I just don't have time to exercise" or "I work till late in the night. By the time I get off work, all the eateries will be closed!" or "I don't have time to pack lunch to work. So, I just eat at the nearest hamburger store".

Our sedatary lifestyle has definately affected us one way or another. More and more of our population are diabetes or have high blood pressure or coronary heart disease or all three.

Obesity is on the rise. We are becoming an obese[FAT] nation.

What are we to do???

a) Eat breakfast. The most important meal of the day to get you started. [Most
people skip this breakfast]
b) Exercise three times a week. [Okey, if you can't spend 30 mins a session, try 20
minutes. If there's no park nearby ur place or no gym, EXERCISE AT HOME]
c) Eat a variety of food. Load up on your vegetables and fruits! [Cut down on all
those oily food. Use less oil and salt in your cooking]
d) Eat your vitamins [Although controversial, in my opinion it does help]

The list can go on but people actually do know what to do. It's more whether YOU want to change and make a difference!

Alih PungGONG is definately a must watch.

It started off with the members of Bronze In Rhythm walking in slowing with each beat of the gong played. The two ladies leading the group, one on the left and right carried an umbrella each. The other members then proceeded to their respective instruments.

They started off with a very slow piece. I thought it was going to be boring. However, the pace picked up during the second set and the movement along with the 'drama' by Bronze In Rhythm has to be applauded.

Each set had its own movement interwined according to the music. They even involved the audience in one of their set. The question thrown to us was "What is the essence of a woman/man to you." Two of the members of Bronze In Rhythm then read out the meaning of woman and man from the 'Kamus Dewan' dictionary. Upon completion, they went straight into their third set.

The following sets were upbeat tempo of the gongs. The members definately showed their versatility by changing places to play various gamelan ensembles set up in the middle of the stage. They potrayed playing the gamelan is just as fun as playing any other instruments and did justice for it.

The show lasted for an hour. So go watch it!

During your childhood and teen years, everyone around you (espcially parents) will be bombarding you with words of encourage, asking you to do well in school, taking up extra classes such as music, art or dance lessons and some even willing to send you for tuition so that you're well prepare for yearly examination.

Then comes adulthood. For the past 24 years, you've been preparing for this. To graduate and get a decent job. Once you get a job, you're then expected to look for a life partner to get hitched. Once you get hitched, you must get kids. When junior comes along, you have to slough through work for the next 18 years just to make sure junior has enough to eat, wear, and go to college.

You then grow old. You expect your child to go through the same life cycle as you did.

Life is a rental. You mean I'm expected to live my life in that manner? Life is so short and I still have so much to do. Nothing last forever, nobody last forever. Oh my gosh which means I have to squeeze everything I need to do in this lifetime into such a short period of time. I might only have until 60 or 70 or maybe tomorrow to live by.

In my entire life there's nothing more annoying than people having to ask when I'm going to get married. This to me is personal and I don't need people nagging me about getting old and not have someone to be with. Or your life will be much more enriched with children. I mean which part of my sentence do you not understand? I said it's personal. Sheesh.

Really, I've got to take a break from all this. However society often shun upon those non-conformist.

I won a pair of tickets to watch Alih PungGONG at KLPac, Sentul this Sunday. It's all about the sound of gamelans and movements complementing the music.

How did I win those tickets? Simple. By watching NTV7'S The Breakfast Show, the show worth waking up for, one morning somewhere last week [during my one week break]. The question was simple "Where will Alih PungGONG take place?". I sent a sms and voila, I got a call from NTV7 that afternoon.

It has been ages since I last blogged! This has been due to a number of reasons. However I can't help but cite work is the main culprit. How can I come up with such excuse, some of you might say?!! (Oooh, I can already picture some of your eyes are already as wide as those cute lil popping goldfish eyes!)

My body had to adjust with the workload I was RECEIVING. Say thank you, M! I was just too tired at the end of each day. Then, as soon as I was getting accustom to my new work place, management asked me to be transfer to another place. But I must say it's fun being a nomad, moving from one place to another, year after year. I loved my new place and environment. Although it can be utterly boring at times, but I immensely enjoyed and savoured each and every moment of it. Then, it was back to my old place. Workload piled up.

After two years of inactivity, I finally decided to blog once again. And here I am again :)

Colour fills our wourld with beauty. Take a walk down the beach during sunset. You can see vivid colours of orange and red, blended together producing one of the finest shade. Look at the sky during a clear day. Shades of blue fill the vast majestic space. That is just the icing of the cake.

But what if you were diagnosed as colour blind!

You wouldn't be able to admire or appreciate certain colours. When it comes to cooking, red deficient individuals cannot tell whether their piece of meat is raw or well done. What about when driving? Can they distinguish traffic lights? Can they make the difference between green and ripe tomatoes? Can they appreciate a rainbow? Any job requiring to pass colour vision test...well, they just have to aspire to some other job.

Imagine being a medical lab technologist. Now how are you going to be able to accurately confirm that this chemical is of a certain pH? Just think about it.

Why am I rattling away about colour blindness? The reason is simple. I'm a carrier of colour blindness. I don't want my son not being able to appreciate the beautiful shades of colour. Imagine him blamming me for passing him this defected gene! It's just better getting a dog than babies!

My grandma is a carrier of colour blindness, just like me. She produced two offsprings which is my dad and his brother. Both of them are COLOUR BLIND. So what are the chances of me producing a male offspring that is free from colour blindness? 50% chance. Getting a dog is still a much better move.

It’s that time of year where you have to hear your aunts or uncles asking you when it’s your turn to get hitch?!!

It’s that time of year where you can see each one of your family members face to face. (This don’t normally happen)

It’s that time of year where you have to rush from one house to another just to make it in time to be home for dinner.
